Bio:
Palmy is half thai half Belgian and studied in Thailand until grade 8 at Phra Mae Maree School (St.Louis). After that she joined her mom in Australia.
In Australia, she experienced western cultures both through music and arts, in which greatly influenced her life. She loved art class at school and spent most of her free time in a museum or a gallery. Other than that, she loved to sing karaoke with her friends and went through a record shop every day. She listened to every style of music and started to be interested in singing.
She then started practicing singing hard by herself. Later she came back to Thailand with a demo of her self-written songs and has had a chance to join with RPG which is an affiliate of Grammy Entertainment, the biggest record company in Thailand. She started with writing the English version of Chai Hai Pai Loey, a song by Mister Team and chorused in a song Roo Tau Wa Dee Mai Por of Tui Theerapat. Later that year in December, she had her first album out.
The music in the self titled album, Palmy, is pop rock which presented herself as a girl who has her own thoughts and enjoys music. The music also emphasized on showing emotions. Soon after the airplay of Yark Rong Dunk Dunk, everyone knows the real her.
Her second album, Stay, came out on July 29, 2003. Through this album, she wanted to communicate with people that she is still working on music, not turning back on it yet. This album was under over 1 year of effort of the same production team, in order to keep the continuity from the first one on which emphasize on emotions and tones of the music. However, the differences are the points of view and stories that are not repeated but based on direct experiences or emotions occurred on a daily basis. The most important is that she designed the vocals and sang the chorus all by herself. But the song Stay, she has a guest artist, Jug or Chawin Chitsomboon, who wrote and played the acoustic guitar in this song.
